About Welcome to Loc’d Hair Studio & Braid Bar, a natural hair salon specializing in healthy loc care, maintenance, styling, and protective services for clients ages 5 and up. Located in Southfield, Michigan, our salon was created for clients who want more than a hairstyle. We believe healthy hair starts with a strong foundation, so every service is approached with intention—from proper cleansing and scalp care to maintenance, styling, and education. Our salon offers a wide range of loc services, including traditional locs, starter locs, retwists, interlocking, microlocs, wicks, loc repairs, detoxes, styling, and more. We also offer select braid and natural hair services. Our stylists bring different specialties and experience to the chair. Elizabeth Joy, owner and professional Loctician, brings over five years of hands-on experience specializing in traditional loc maintenance, precision retwists, healthy loc care, and styling. Queen brings over 20 years of experience working with locs and specializes in everything from traditional locs and microlocs to wicks and advanced loc services. That means whether you’re starting your loc journey, maintaining mature locs, looking for specialized care, or simply need a stylist who understands your hair, there’s a place for you here. Most importantly, we want Loc’d to feel like somewhere you can settle in and stay. Cancellation Policy
We understand that life happens and schedules may change. In order to respect the time of both our clients and our stylists, the following cancellation policy is in place.
Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least twenty four hours before your scheduled appointment time.
Deposits are non refundable and non transferable. Deposits secure your reserved appointment time and will be applied toward your scheduled service.
Clients who cancel with less than 24 hours' notice will forfeit their deposit.
No Call/No Show appointments will result in 100% of the scheduled service total being charged and collected before any future appointments may be booked.
Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may be required to reschedule their appointment. In these instances, the deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit may be required to secure another appointment.
